Hayden Nance was born in Kingman, Arizona on May 17, 2001. Shortly after, his family moved to North Texas where Hayden continued to be raised for the next 15 years. In this time, Hayden’s interest in art was sparked by the whimsical classic animations of Disney. His sketches of cartoon characters quickly turned into an interest in realistic portrait illustrations. Hayden decided to pursue higher education in art after the Nance family of 7 moved to Arkansas in 2016, where he was met with opportunities in the artistic and diverse community of Eureka Springs. Hayden graduated in 2023 from the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith and now creates artwork that seeks to challenge international and global issues on a regional scale. He strives to engage his community in conversation with artwork, and explores the emotions and connections of people.
